Many people are looking for remote jobs during the current crisis and many companies have their employees working at home. If you want to search for a remote job, there are a number of excellent websites that specialize in remote jobs. Some of the jobs are 100% remote, some are partially remote, and many have geographic restrictions.
Most of the jobs are professional, but there are hourly positions available, such as customer service or administrative assistant jobs. Most sites allow you to sign up for email alerts of new postings. All but a few allow you to sort by date posted; some don't show the post date.
The following remote jobs sites are the best ones that I am aware of. All but the first two are free to use. Click the heading to visit the site.
FlexJobs
FlexJobs is a paid subscription site that curates tens of thousands of high-quality remote jobs in dozens of categories. You can often find discounted memberships. All jobs and companies are vetted by researchers, so there are no scam or marginal postings. You can search by career category, keywords, location and many other criteria. The vast majority of their job listings won’t be found on other job search sites. The site also has a wide variety of job search resources, including downloads and blog posts. From my experience, the large number of remote jobs on this site are worth the small subscription fee.
Virtual Vocations
Virtual Vocations is another paid subscription site that has tens of thousands of high-quality remote jobs. They sometimes have a few more job postings than FlexJobs, but both sites are excellent sources for a wide variety of remote jobs. When you search, you can filter by numerous criteria such as location, type of remote work, etc. The vast majority of their job listings won’t be found on other job search sites. The site also has job search resources. From my experience, the large number of remote jobs on this site are worth the small subscription fee.
